Writing a blog post that ranks is akin to cooking food. If you give three people the same ingredients and tool, to spin up food in the kitchen, there will be different outcomes in the food.

Similarly, if you give three people the same topic, and tools, to spin up a website article, the result will vary.

Just like how some people are naturally, good chefs, without trying, some people naturally, can write articles that rank without trying.

Does this mean nobody can copy them?

Definitely not. Take this post, like a food recipe. If you follow most of the steps, you should be able to spin up a MasterChef article.

To write a blog post that ranks, your blog post should be above 2000 words, answer the question query completely, have tons of links, and most importantly be better than any answer available for the keyword question query.

But doing it practically, takes time. Most profitable bloggers, have had years to learn and improve their craft.

1. Keyword Research

Keyword research is the process of looking for keyword question queries to write about.

Savvy SEO professionals, go for

It is better to write one 2000 word article, than to write two 1000 word articles. This is because long skyscraper contents are ranked better than short articles.

3. Outline the problem

When writing a blog post, the first thing you need to do, is outline the problem for the reader at the beginning of the blog post, to refresh their minds, about what you are writing about.

4. Write the solution for the problem

The next step is to write the solution for the problem, and make sure you do a good, job of answering the problem.

5. Give proof that your solution works

You should give proof that your solution works, like a case study.

Case studies, are most especially helpful, when you are trying to proof that your solution works.

Most importantly, case studies, are know to bring in lots of visitors, because they are hard to reproduce.

Hence are completely unique in the eyes of search engines.

6. Give your summary on the problem

After eating a meal, you need dessert to stimulate your palette.

Similarly, after reading a long article, you need a summary to give solution for the problem.

7. Answer, other related questions

In some instances, after writing an article, you discover that the length, is not up to par.

In such instances, you need to answer related questions, to increase length of your article.

But make sure they are related question queries.

8. Add outbound links

Add outbound links to signal web crawlers, that what you are writing, has references.

Nobody, wants to write, an article that is not vetted by professionals.

9. Don’t copy somebody’s Article

Copying other people’s article will get you penalized, on search engines, and might even get your website de-indexed.

10. Don’t use article spinners.

Articles, spinners can in theory give you unique content.

But there will be poor user experience, which will cause you to lose rankings.

11. Use Grammarly

Grammarly can help you check for writing errors in your articles, before you hit the published button.

This is most especially helpful for non native English speakers.

12. Use Yoast SEO

If you are a novice in search engine optimization (SEO), you can use Yoast SEO plugin, to build and rank your articles.

13. Use Analogies and Punchlines

Punchlines and analogies, is a good way to get your message accross, and gives your website readers insights and understanding.

For example, at the beginning of this post, I gave you an analogy of a chef, and compared it to search engine optimization.
